After Exdeath merges the two worlds, you'll find yourself in a drastically changed landscape. Towns have shifted. New dungeons have surfaced. And the path to Exdeath's final stronghold lies through several sealed locations that require the Twelve Legendary Weapons to unlock.
The party reunites at Tycoon Castle after the merger. Krile now permanently joins as Galuf's replacement, inheriting all his job levels and abilities. Take a moment to check her equipment and make sure she's properly outfitted.
Exploring the Merged World
Your airship still works, which makes exploration straightforward. Several locations from both worlds now coexist on a single map. Head to these spots first:
- Tycoon Castle - Story events; speak with King Tycoon
- Pirate's Cove - Faris's old crew has info about the submarine
- Guido's Cave - The sage provides direction for your next steps
Visit Guido's Cave. He'll explain that the Twelve Legendary Weapons are sealed in four locations: the Pyramid of Moore, Fork Tower, the Great Sea Trench, and Istory Falls. You'll need these weapons to have any chance against Exdeath.
The Submarine
Before tackling the sealed weapon dungeons, grab the submarine. It's docked near Crescent Island. The submarine lets you explore underwater areas, including the Great Sea Trench. But more immediately, it provides access to a few optional caves with useful loot.
Brave Blade vs Chicken Knife
In the town of Moore, visit the well and speak to the man inside. He offers you a choice between two weapons: the Brave Blade or the Chicken Knife. This is permanent. You can't get both.
- Brave Blade - Starts at 150 Attack, but loses power each time you flee from battle. If you've never run from a fight, this weapon stays at full strength. Realistically, most players have fled at least a few times.
- Chicken Knife - Starts weak but gains power with each escape. Maxes out at 127 Attack after 255 escapes. The catch? It has a 25% chance of making you flee instead of attacking.
For most players, the Chicken Knife is the better pick. Its flee effect can be bypassed by equipping it to a character using !Mug, !Dance, or !Rapid Fire; those abilities override the flee trigger. The Brave Blade's power degradation makes it less reliable unless you're doing a specific challenge run.
Sealed Weapon Tablets
You need stone tablets to actually open the weapon seals. Three tablets are found in the Pyramid. One each in Fork Tower, the Great Sea Trench, and Istory Falls. Each tablet unseals three weapons in the Sealed Castle, giving you access to powerful endgame gear.
The Sealed Castle
The Sealed Castle (Kuzar) sits in the desert near the Pyramid. Once you have tablets, return here to claim your weapons. Each tablet lets you pick three weapons from the twelve available. Choose carefully based on your party composition.
Recommended Weapon Picks
- Excalibur - Holy-elemental knight sword; great for physical attackers
- Holy Lance - Holy damage for Dragoons
- Assassin's Dagger - Chance of instant death; pairs well with !Rapid Fire
- Sage's Staff - Boosts Holy spell damage
- Magus Rod - Boosts all elemental magic
- Yoichi's Bow - Strong ranged option
Where to Go Next
The four sealed weapon locations can be tackled in any order, but here's a recommended sequence:
- Pyramid of Moore - Three tablets, relatively straightforward
- Fork Tower - One tablet, requires splitting your party
- Great Sea Trench - One tablet, underwater dungeon
- Istory Falls - One tablet, leads to Leviathan
After collecting all tablets and claiming your weapons, you'll be ready to enter the Cleft of Dimension and confront Exdeath. But first, consider the optional Phoenix Tower for the Phoenix summon.

The sealed weapons themselves don't come from chests; they're claimed directly from the weapon pedestals using your tablets.
