Game Overview

Final Fantasy 4 Pixel Remaster is a remaster of Final Fantasy IV, originally released in 1991 for the Super Famicom. The Pixel Remaster includes updated graphics, quality-of-life improvements, and a re-arranged soundtrack by Nobuo Uematsu.

Final Fantasy IV introduced the Active Time Battle (ATB) system that would define the series for years. Unlike previous turn-based entries, battles flow in real-time with each character's action gauge filling at different speeds. The game also features a dramatic story with named characters who have fixed jobs and abilities.
