Final Fantasy 2 Pixel Remaster is a remaster of Final Fantasy II, originally released in 1988 for the Famicom in Japan. The Pixel Remaster includes updated graphics, quality-of-life improvements, and a re-arranged soundtrack by Nobuo Uematsu.
Final Fantasy II introduced many series firsts, including named main characters, a keyword-based conversation system, and a unique proficiency-based leveling system where characters grow stronger based on the actions they perform in battle.
