Tycoon Meteorite

Opening Sequence

After the cutscene, you're in control of Bartz, a wanderer traveling with his chocobo Boko. You're camped in a forest when the meteorite streaks overhead. Boko gets spooked and takes off toward the crash site. Follow him.

The path is linear; just head north through the forest. No random battles here. When you reach the crater, you'll find an unconscious woman being attacked by two Goblins.

Meeting the Party

The woman is Lenna, princess of Tycoon. She's searching for her father who flew off at the start. Before you can get far, you'll find an old man lying in the crater with amnesia. He remembers nothing except his name: Galuf. He's determined to reach the Wind Shrine but can't explain why.

Lenna's heading the same direction. Galuf tags along. And Bartz? He's got nothing better to do. Your party of three forms, but you can't go directly to the Wind Shrine yet. The meteorite blocked the main road.

Pirate Cave Passage

Head west from the meteorite. Overworld enemies here are weak: Goblins, Steel Bats, and the occasional Killer Bee. None pose a real threat at your current level. Grind if you want, but it's not necessary.

You'll reach a cave entrance blocked by a spring. Examine the spring and your party camps for the night. In a short scene, Bartz sneaks off to spy on a pirate ship emerging from the cave. Follow the pirates inside.

The cave interior is short. Head through and you'll emerge at the Pirates' Cove. There's a ship here, but the pirates removed the wheel. You'll need to find another way forward.

Treasure Chests

Before leaving the meteorite area, check the small cave near the impact crater for two chests.
